There’s no need to travel to Italy to experience the atmosphere of Tuscany – just a few dozen minutes outside Krakow, you’ll find a place that delights with its natural charm, open spaces and genuine love of wine. The Winnica Jura is a place of inspiration that allows you to fulfil your dreams of a unique outdoor wedding with the soul of southern Europe.
Experience the Italian atmosphere in the heart of Małopolska!
As a wedding planner, I recently had the pleasure of organising and coordinating a wedding for a couple who knew exactly what they wanted – a relaxed yet elegant celebration surrounded by nature. They chose the Winnica Jura, which is located on a picturesque hill with a view straight out of a Chianti postcard. Every aspect of the event exuded Tuscan style, from the colour scheme to the culinary offerings.
An outdoor symbolic wedding and a wine-mixing ritual
The day began with preparations at the stylish Pałac Radziwiłłów in Balice, where we also provided comfortable accommodation for the guests. From there, the bride, groom and their loved ones travelled to the vineyard, where a symbolic outdoor ceremony took place amongst the lush green vines.
A particularly memorable moment was the wine blending ritual, which symbolised the union of two histories and the beginning of their shared journey. In the background stood a wooden arch adorned with floral arrangements in shades of copper, gold, beige and dried wildflowers. Everything was arranged to blend gently with the surroundings and the atmosphere of the ceremony.
Jura Winery and details with character
The wedding reception took place in the elegant hall of the Winnica Jura. This room can accommodate any table arrangement; for this event, we opted for a combination of rectangular and round tables to allow for flexible guest seating and maintain an intimate atmosphere.
We selected the decorative elements with exceptional care. The warm, deep-coloured decorations were complemented by black tableware, specially ordered to harmonise with the elegant chairs and accents of the wedding hall. There was also stationery featuring a calligraphic font and hand-gilded details – guaranteed to wow!
And what about the groom? He chose a hand-sewn Italian suit, a dream come true for him, which complemented the Tuscan atmosphere of the entire ceremony perfectly.
Regional wine from the Winnica Jura
No Tuscan wedding would be complete without wine. Guests could enjoy local wines from the Winnice Jura, which were served with dinner and also given to guests as gifts from the bride and groom. Like everything else on that day, the wine was a symbol of joy, celebration and savouring the moment.
Through the eyes of a wedding planner
This project proved that dreams of a Tuscan wedding can come true without leaving Poland. The Winnica Jura impresses with not only its landscape and the quality of its wine, but also its ability to adapt the space to the individual vision of the bride and groom. Combined with accommodation at the Pałac Radziwiłłów in Balice, we created a setting that was comfortable, complete and extremely elegant for the wedding day.
I am most proud of the harmony of the details, from the floristry and table arrangement to the colour of the cutlery and the symbolism of the wine ritual. Thanks to the professionalism of the team and the trust placed in me by the bride and groom, everything went smoothly in an exceptionally calm atmosphere.
If you’re planning a Tuscan-style wedding and want to be close to nature without compromising on elegance and comfort, Winnica Jura could be the perfect venue. As the wedding planner and author of this post, I would be delighted to help you organise your dream celebration, paying close attention to every detail and bringing beautiful stories to life.
